Words are hard, but cards can make it a little easier.

Wallet cards are a great way for you to say what you or your loved one needs with out having to rely on only verbal communication.

I had the idea for these cards during a session with a wonderful woman who is living with Cerebal Palsy.  She had the most dificulty when someone greeted her or innocently asked a question while she was chewing. Unfortunately, these regular social exchanges significnalty increased her risk of aspirating and choking as the impacts from CP made it very difficult for her to chew quickly.

By having a small card she could easily show to someone, she reported feeling more in control and significantly safer while she was eating.

I hope these cards may help someone else feel more incontrol and confident in expressing what they need.
